The Angkor Empire was located in modern day Cambodia and existed for about 641 years (709 CE-1431 CE). Many kings had influenced the rise and fall of the empire and there had also been many significant people that helped shape the empire to what it was. The people of this empire believed in different religions but mostly Buddhism. The Angkor Empire was lost and unnoticed for years after its collapse until archaeologists uncovered it in the 19th century.
